Mr. who appears for tbe defendant asked for a ccntinuance of the case whieh was granted until Thursday ‘ moruing. White waa re-arrested • in Conrt on a cbarge of assault ‘ and battery and released ou $1,000 bail furnished by Messrs Congdon & Dee. The attorney general was prescnt during the last stage of the case but took no I active part.
